Napoli y Romaaa

So our day in Capri turned out a bit different then we expected. It was partly cloudy and definatly not as warm as we had hoped. It was still a GREAT day! the island was one of the most beautiful places i have ever been. The buildings and homes are built into the walls of the island. We had to take a train car up from the port to the city which was different. The city was filled with all sorts of high end very classy shops. Aka. I didnt buy anything. but on the otherhand the sights and pictures I took are unbelievable. We walked around to this picture spot and saw the infamous 2 rocks. We then started walking around the island and hiking around... in our flip flops. haha ya that was wonderful. Becky and I decided to do the entire loop and saw some amazing views. The water was such a bright turquoise blue. I loved it. I also found my future home :) i wish. we then found out we did the loop backwards when we encountered 500 meters of stairs... straight up. It was a wonderful workout to say the least. it was even more enjoyable to figure out why no one was walking in the same direction as us. hahaha. i loved it.

The next morning we came to Rome, which was Tuesday morning. We went and saw the Colosseum which was also amazing. The history behind that and the old city and the forum was amazing to hear about. I had no idea truly old these places were and how much history they represent. I loved every minute of it... minus my feet KILLING me from my boots. def not a good choice of shoes. We found a lot of good deals on gifts etc which was nice too. aka boots for 10 euro. AMAZING!

Yesterday we went to the Vatican and saw st peters bacillica and the vatican museum. i LOVED the Sistian Chapel. Its even more beautiful in person then the pics show it. The bacillica was also HUGE and awesome to feel the atmosphere. we also got to see the POPE!!!! thats right! wednesday's he does a service type deal so we got to stand and watch part of it. It was a pretty cool feeling to being seeing such an important figure to so many ppl. My grandma would have loved it and i canNOT want to tell her and show her pics!!

Speaking of being away from a "home" or thessaloniki is definatly starting to make a girl homesick. Feeling slightly homeless isnt a good feeling. But im trying to take in the enviorment and joy the time i have in these amazing places. Day and a half left in Rome, overnight in an airport and off to egypt we gooo :)))
